A Hub for Teaching Artists & Aspiring Teaching Artists
The Teaching Artist Hub is an initiative of the partnership between The Connecticut Office Of The Arts and Oddfellows Playhouse Youth Theater. This space is created for artists by artists to have a platform of creative, diverse, community-building resources that uplifts the work they do in the community. We aim to support teaching artists to grow through workshops, panel discussions, mentorship, networking and affinity groups. This space is for those who already consider themselves as Teaching Artists and those that aspire to become professional Teaching Artists! All are welcome!

We are seeking teaching artists that have a passion to teach aspiring teaching artists what it takes to be creatives at their best. Mentors should have a skilled, experienced, background in their arts discipline and they should provide guidance, motivation, support and leadership towards a mentee. Mentees 18+ that are open to learn, be advised, trained or counseled by a mentor in their arts discipline are encouraged to apply.

This grant will help you and your mentee create a workshop/project/event as a collaboration over the spring/summer of 2024.
The Teaching Artist Hub would like to offer CT Teaching Artists and their mentees an opportunity to receive a $2000 grant for the summer of 2024 so you can collaborate and create together!​

Creative u, created by Sweets & Sounds Entertainment in collaboration with the connecticut office of the arts & hosted by the city of new haven is a two-day conference celebrating and empowering the creative community. The Connecticut Office of the Arts (COA) is thrilled to announce that the Artist Fellowship program is now accepting applications.The Artist Fellowship program provides recognition and funding support for Connecticut artists to pursue new work and advance their artistic careers.All artistic disciplines are eligible! Connecticut artists must be the primary creators of original works of art. Some eligibility restrictions apply; therefore, please review the program webpage before applying.
Grants are awarded in three designations and grant amounts:
Artistic Excellence grants: $5,000
Artist Fellowship grants: $3,000
Emerging Recognition grants: $1,000
Deadline: on or before September 20, 2024
